The West Australian reported that a worker was killed on a mining exploration lease that is part of Consolidated Minerals Ltd.’s Woodie Woodie manganese mine.
As quoted in the market news:
Two DMP inspectors were sent to the site immediately with two more to travel to the mine on Wednesday to investigate the incident.
Consolidated Minerals released a brief statement confirming the death of a contractor and said police were contacting family members of the deceased.
Paul Muller, Consolidated Minerals’ Australia managing director, stated:
This is a very sad occurrence and our thoughts go out to the family, friends and workmates of the person involved.
