Southern Hemisphere: New Jorc Resource and Progress Update Los Pumas Manganese Project

Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited announced a number of significant developments with its 100% owned Los Pumas Manganese Project in Northern Chile, including the completion of an updated JORC resource estimate and signing of a key Land Owners Agreement enabling further exploration and mine development to proceed.

The press release is quoted as saying:

Southern Hemisphere has continued to focus its activities on the Feasibility Study currently underway on the Los Pumas Project. This Study is targeted for completion during the third Quarter of 2010, paving the way for the Company to raise capital for project development in the second half of 2010 with the objective of commencing manganese production in the second half of 2011.
