OM Holdings Ltd. (ASX:OMH,OTC Pink:OMHLF) announced that for the first quarter of 2012, manganese production at its Bootu Creek mine reached record levels at 223,169 tonnes grading 37 percent manganese.
As quoted in the press release:
The Bootu Creek Mine’s operating strategy for 2012 centres around a low cost, low strip ratio mine plan focused on accessing previously pre-stripped high grade and high yielding ore utilising a single mining fleet.
The mine’s production target for 2012 will be between 850,000 tonnes, supported by continued strong demand for the mine’s products in the Chinese market, and an ability to immediately respond to changing market conditions during the year.
