BHP earmarks $80 Billion for Expansions

Mining Weekly reported that BHP Billiton (NYSE:BHP) will invest significant capital into expanding its assets between now and 2015.

The editorial is quoted as saying:

The majority of the capital spend would be invested in the iron-ore, base-metals, petroleum and metallurgical coal units, while manganese, energy coal and aluminium would also see some investment.
