Dajin Resources Receives Favourable Results from Ugamp Meeting
Dajin Resources Corp. (TSXV:DJI,OTCMKTS:DJIFF) announced that it is advancing the development of the San Jose and Navidad concessions, located on the Salinas Grandes salar in Jujuy Province, Argentina.
Dajin Resources Corp. (TSXV:DJI,OTCMKTS:DJIFF) announced that it is advancing the development of the San Jose and Navidad concessions, located on the Salinas Grandes salar in Jujuy Province, Argentina.
As quoted in the press release:
On December 29th, the province of Jujuy convened a “La Unidad de Gestión Ambiental Minera Provincial” (UGAMP; a meeting on the environmental management of mineral exploration) to review and ratify the proposed exploration plans of Dajin. These plans formed part of the agreement with the Cooperativa de Boratos, formed by members of the Tres Morros aboriginal community which was signed in July 2015. In addition to the government representatives, a number of delegates from local communities (including Tres Morros) were present. During the meeting no objections were raised to the granting of the exploration permit by either the government or the communities. There is now a 30 day period for consultation during which time Dajin may be requested to provide further information of its planned work program.
While awaiting the Governments ratification of the work program, Dajin Director, Dr. Catherine Hickson is in Jujuy to work with John Kieley, formerly Vice President of Exploration with Lithium Americas Corp., a member of Dajin’s technical panel and the person who will head up Dajin’s exploration efforts at the Salinas Grandes salar. The two will be working to set up an exploration program planned to commence as soon as the permit from the Government is issued and weather conditions are conducive for exploration. They recently met with the newly appointed provincial Secretary of Mines, Dr. Miguel Solar. Dr. Solar is keenly interested in increasing mining investment in Jujuy Province and making changes within the ministry to facilitate this outcome while balancing the needs of the communities and the environment.
