In September 2017, Rockstone Research followed Castle Silver Resources (TSX:CSR) CEO Frank Basa on a site visit of the company’s silver-cobalt mine in Ontario, historically one of the highest-grade silver-cobalt properties in the Cobalt Camp. Basa described the mineralization in the rock as he walked through the mine, showing visible samples of cobalt in the ceiling of the tunnel, which runs for about 1.7 kilometers on the property, with multiple small silver veins alongside it. The report also included a flyover drone video of the property.
The report highlighted notable drilling results including those from 2011: 6,476 g/t silver over 3.09 meters and 1.44 percent cobalt over 0.12 meters. Preliminary results from 2017 showed stellar recoveries for silver at 98.5 percent and cobalt at 70.5 percent, as well as high concentrate grades of 11,876 g/t silver and 10.5 percent cobalt.
Rockstone Research will be conducting a future report on the Castle Silver’s Beaver mine, including drone video coverage.
