The market news is quoted as saying:
The company said its high-volume, state-of-the-art production facility would be dedicated to building advanced lithium-ion cells and batteries for energy storage for renewable energy, smart grid support, broadband back-up power, transportation and defense.
Saft said it was expecting $300 million in annual sales from the Saft Jacksonville facility to meet growing customer demand for high performance, competitive energy storage solutions in the new-energy economy.
