Western Areas says nickel output rises

Australian nickel producer Western Areas (ASX:WSA) reported a 22 percent lift in September quarter production to 8,300 tonnes versus the previous quarter and said it may lift sales to China as output continues to rise.

The press release is quoted as saying:

The increase from its Forrestania operations coincided with a sharp increase in nickel sales with the start of exports to Chinese metals refiner Jinchuan at the end of July.
