Western Areas Raises 2014 Production Guidance

Western Areas Ltd. (ASX:WSA) on Monday provided its updated guidance for the 2014 financial year, commenting that it anticipates producing 27,000 tonnes of nickel in ore, up from 25,000 to 26,000 tonnes.

Western Areas Ltd. (ASX:WSA) on Monday provided its updated guidance for the 2014 financial year, commenting that it anticipates producing 27,000 tonnes of nickel in ore, up from 25,000 to 26,000 tonnes.

The company’s nickel in concentrate production estimate has been increased to 25,000 tonnes from 23,000 to 24,000 tonnes.

As quoted in the press release:

Western Areas Managing Director, Mr Dan Lougher, said that the guidance upgrades were a direct result of the continuing strong performance of the Company’s operations. They are testament to the operational team’s hard work and focus on numerous small and large projects across the business which enhanced both productivity and output.
