St George Mining Ltd. (ASX:SGQ) announced a portfolio of high-quality nickel sulfide targets at its Desert Dragon Central project. They will be the focus of the company’s next drill program.
As quoted in the press release:

  • Five new priority electromagnetic (EM) conductors at Desert Dragon Central will be tested in the upcoming high impact drilling campaign at East Laverton
  • Three conductors have been identified by downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys completed on recent diamond holes
  • Extremely strong conductor off‐hole from DDRDD0005 with a conductance of 61,000 Siemens
  • Two further conductors have been identified by the surface moving loop electromagnetic (MLEM) survey and are located in the tight fold of the Stella Range belt
  • Drilling campaign scheduled to start on 5 October 2015

John Prineas, executive chairman of St George Mining, commented:

The systematic exploration at our highly prospective East Laverton Project is continuing to generate attractive exploration targets for massive nickel sulphides. This includes highly prospective EM conductors identified by downhole EM surveys on recently completed diamond holes at Desert Dragon Central.
These are very robust targets with geophysical, geological and geochemical indicators consistent with massive sulphide bodies.
The EM conductor from DDRDD0005 has a remarkable conductance of 61,000 Siemens and is located within a wide and continuous zone of nickel sulphide mineralisation, which is an excellent location for a massive nickel sulphide deposit.
All the EM targets scheduled for drilling are ‘must drill’ targets and any one of these could deliver a major discovery.
