Sherritt International Corp. (TSX:S) announced its July operational results for the Ambatovy joint venture project in Madagascar, reaching 83 percent of nameplate capacity.
As quoted in the press release:

For the month of July, finished nickel production was 1,694 tonnes (4,236 tonnes, 100% basis), or approximately 83% of nameplate capacity, and finished cobalt production was 128 tonnes (318 tonnes, 100% basis). Ore throughput in the pressure acid leach (PAL) circuit was 470,050 tonnes (100% basis), or approximately 94% of nameplate capacity.

Finished nickel and cobalt production improved following the successful return to service of one of the two ore thickeners on July 7, improving ore density to the PAL circuit to near-design levels. The second ore thickener remains on schedule for a return to service in September.
