Sama Resources Inc. (TSXV:SME) announced that as a result of its successful Phase I drill program, the second phase exploration has commenced at its Samapleu project in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa.

The press release is quoted as saying:

The logistics and drill platforms for the Phase II program are currently being put in place. The Phase II program is expected to be 52 diamonds drill holes for a total of approximately 9,000 m. Drilling is expected to commence on or about October 1, 2010. The drilling program is designed to initiate the definition of a National Instrument 43-101 (“NI 43-101″) compliant Mineral Resource by mid 2011 at the main Samapleu Nickel (“Ni”) – Copper (“Cu”) + Platinum group members (“PGM”) deposit and to further delineate the mineral potential at the newly discovered zone called the Samapleu Extension 1. Drilling will also investigate several additional targets outlined by the geophysical program and by geological mapping.
