International Montoro Resources (TSXV:IMT) has started its 1000m+ drill program at the Pecors nickel anomaly in the Serpent River property in Elliot Lake, Northern Ontario. The drill rig was moved to the site last Thursday, March 26, 2015 via helicopter.

Back in 2009, the Ontario Geological Survey reexamined a strong geophysical anomaly at Serpent River, which was previously thought to have been caused by an iron formation. Results indicated the presence of nickel, copper and PGE’s in the anomaly. The Pecors anomaly may potentially be the result of nickel-copper-PGE mineralization, similar to that found in nearby Sudbury Basin in Ontario, according to a study.

The Company has been informed by Don Hawke, P.Geo., Consulting Geologist, that Orbit Garant Drilling Services Inc. of Val D’Or, Quebec has completed mobilization (see video https://ow.ly/L0k1w ) and set up at the Pecors Anomaly drill site and started drilling on March 28th. Hole #1 was at 221m as of 7:00 p.m. EST March 30th, 2015.

The Company will keep investors informed as the Company progresses this hole to an anticipated depth of 1000m+. Drill core will be brought from the site on a regular basis to a secure warehouse facility rented from Pele Mountain Resources Inc. on the outskirts of Elliot Lake, Ontario for core logging and sampling.

States Montoro President and CEO Gary Musil: “I will be making a site visit on Tuesday, April 7th and very excited to see first-hand the drilling of this Pecors Anomaly.”
