Base Metals: Nickel Hits Three Year Low

Reuters reported on base metals trading Monday as nickel hit its lowest point since June 2009.

As quoted in the market news:

In other metals traded, LME nickel dipped as far as $15,450, its lowest since July 2009, dragged down by the euro zone worries as well as weak global demand for its most important downstream product, stainless steel. It ended at $15,600 from Friday’s close of $15,950.
