Bloomberg reports the FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index declined 46.98, or 0.2 percent, to 32,249.09 as BHP Billiton Plc (NYSE:BHP,LON:BLT,ASX:BHP) fell.

The market news is quoted as saying,

BHP Billiton Plc (BIL) , the world’s biggest mining company, fell the most in two weeks, dropping 1.99 rand, or 0.7 percent, to 268 rand. Shipments from Australia’s Hay Point port, the biggest export harbor for steelmaking coal, dropped 12 percent in the year ended June 30, according to figures on North Queensland Bulk Ports Corp.’s website.
