Port Hedland’s China Iron Ore Shipments Increase 22% in March

Mining Weekly reported that Australia’s Port Hedland shipped 22% more iron ore to China in March compared to the previous month, a strong indicator of positive Chinese industrial activity.

As quoted in the market news:

Shipments of ore to China climbed to 19.1-million tons in March, from 15.66-million tons in February, data from the Port Hedland Port Authority showed. Shipments were also up a hefty 37 percent on March last year.
