Tintina Resources (TSXV:TAU) has commenced a new roung of drilling at its Black Butte copper project in Montana. The company has also completed a previously announced pump test, with data to be analyzed to support groundwater modelling in the area.

As quoted in the press release:

Tintina has launched a new round of drilling at its Black Butte Copper Project focused on further testing the Upper and Lower Copper Zones of the Johnny Lee Deposit. The current plan is to drill approximately 8,700 feet (2,652 meters) of diamond drill core in 9 holes. This drilling will provide representative samples from selected areas of each zone for metallurgical test work necessary to optimize copper recoveries. The holes will also provide critical geological, resource and geotechnical data for mine planning and further the Company’s understanding of the deposits.

Tintina CEO, Bruce Hooper, said:

We are very pleased to have successfully completed the pump test program and to be embarking on the metallurgical drilling program. The drilling and testwork is a critical step in advancing the Black Butte project to provide economic stimulus to the local region while ensuring we protect the environment.
