Striking Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Workers to Return to Work at Grasberg

Reuters reported that striking contract workers at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold’s Indonesian Grasberg copper and gold mine will return to work after a pay dispute has been settled.

As quoted in the Reuters report:

On Tuesday, around 1,130 workers from three contractor companies involved in a mine expansion project at Freeport Indonesia’s Grasberg copper and gold mine in West Papua province went on strike after failing to get pay increases to meet the local minimum.
