Operations will Resume in Near Future at Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold’s Papua Mine: Minister

Reuters reported that a junior mining minster has reported that operations are expected to resume soon at Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc’s Indonesian unit, after a tunnel collapse killed 28 people.

As quoted in the Reuters report:

Susilo told reporters on Monday the open-pit production would restart in the immediate future and there was no reason for it not to resume as the investigation was not being done in the production area.
