Mining Weekly reported that operations have resumed at Codelco’s Andina mine after a protest from workers earlier this week.

Mining Weekly reported that operations have resumed at Codelco’s Andina mine after a protest from workers earlier this week.

As quoted in the Mining Weekly report:

Contract workers said they blocked access to some of the state miner’s deposits to demand higher salaries and improved benefits. Andina, located high up in the central Andes, produced 250 000 t of copper last year.
