Kombat Copper Inc. (TSXV:KBT) announced today that it has appointed Allan Polk as Chief Operating Officer. The appointment is effective immediately.
As quoted in the press release:
Mr. Polk is a mining engineer with over 20 years of experience in mine operations, consulting, feasibility studies, and construction projects for both underground and open pit mines in a variety of commodities at mines and projects around the world. He is an expert in resource to reserve conversion as a qualified person for technical reports and as a corporate representative at operating mines. Mr. Polk recently worked at Pan American Silver Corporation as the Director of Mining Engineering and was a Principal Engineer at Snowden Mining Industry Consultants in Vancouver.
Kombat Copper CEO, Bill Nielsen, said:
Allan has aggressively taken on the engineering responsibilities of the Kombat Project, being involved and supervising all aspects of getting the Kombat Mine back into production. He is seen as a very valuable asset that is integral in allowing Kombat Copper to achieve its ultimate goal of being a copper producer in Namibia. He sees Kombat Mine as a great project and is putting maximum effort into the ongoing Preliminary Economic Assessment process.
