Avanco Management Meets with Brazil Minister of Mines & Energy
Avanco Resources (ASX:AVB) reported that Chairman, Colin Jones, Directors Luis Azevedo and Managing Director Tony Polglase recently presented to the Minister of Mines and Energy, Sr. Eduardo Braga, and the Secretary of Geology and Minerals, Sr. Carlos Nogueira, in Brasilia.
Avanco Resources (ASX:AVB) reported that Chairman, Colin Jones, Directors Luis Azevedo and Managing Director Tony Polglase recently presented to the Minister of Mines and Energy, Sr. Eduardo Braga, and the Secretary of Geology and Minerals, Sr. Carlos Nogueira, in Brasilia. Discussed in the meeting were the following: an update on construction at the Antas Copper Mine and the implementation of Avanco’s second mine in the same district, the Pedra Branca Project.

Following an update on construction at the Antas Copper Mine, the implementation of Pedra Branca was discussed. There was much enthusiasm on hearing that Perda Branca is three times larger than Antas and will be Brazil’s largest underground mine.
In closing, Sr. Braga assured Avanco of Federal support for its projects and accepted an invitation to attend the opening of Antas in 2016.
