    ASX Exchange Round-Up: ASX Sits at 4,926.6 Points

    The Australian Securities Exchange hit a high of 4,962.9 and a low of 4,922.8 today.

    The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) hit a high of 4,962.9 and a low of 4,922.8 today, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. At last, it sat at 4,926.6 points.

    Bloomberg said the index dropped 12 percent overall in May, its biggest fall since May 2010.

    Australian gas exploration company Beach Energy (ASX:BPT) was among the highest gainers on the ASX, moving up $0.055 to hit $1.215. Perseus Mining (ASX:PRU) increased on the ASX by $0.03, rising to $1.072.

    Regis Resources (ASX:RRL) climbed $0.11, to $4.067, while Lynas Corporation (ASX:LYC) gained $0.015 to hit $0.56. Whitehaven Coal (ASX:WHC) was also among the top gainers on the ASX, increasing $0.06, to $2.282.
