Potash Ridge Corporation (TSX:PRK,OTCQX:POTRF) announced that the Utah Division of Water Quality has posted a Public Notice of Intent to Issue Ground Water Discharge Permit for Potash Ridge’s Blawn Mountain Project. This represents a significant permitting milestone for the project.
As quoted in the press release:
The UDWQ agreed that water drained from the intended tailings facility at the Project is of similar quality to the receiving ground water. Protection of ground water will be insured under this permit by regular sampling and analysis of both the tailings water and ground water down gradient from the tailings area and impoundments. In connection with the Notice, a 30-day public comment period commenced, ending July 16, 2014. The issuance of the Ground Water Discharge Permit will clear another major permitting hurdle for the Project.
