Mining Weekly reported that Orocobre has announced an inferred resource of an estimated 1.6-million tons of potash at the Cauchari project in Argentina.
As quoted in the market report:
The resource estimate was based on a five diamond and one rotary vertical drill hole programme between October and December last year, which, apart from a maiden resource estimate, also estimated an exploration target of between 0.2-million and 2.6-million tons lithium carbonate, and between 0.5-million and 9.2-million tons of potash beneath the current resource.
