BHP Still Needs Approval For Design Engineering to Proceed with Jansen

The Globe and Mail reported that, although BHP’s enormous Jansen project is moving its way through the approval process, it is still waiting the go-ahead from design engineering after deciding to increase the project’s size substantially.

As quoted in the market report:

We are finalizing this design engineering as part of the Jansen project feasibility study, which will be presented to the BHP Billiton board,” said company spokesman Ruban Yogarajah. “While this occurs, we will finish building the camp and continue shaft excavation and site preparation.
