According to the infographic:

More than one million Californians have a history of cancer, and 172,000 new cases will be diagnosed in California this year. Medical advancements have saved millions of lives and increased the quality of life for patients.
Costs are escalating with many medications now introduced at over $100,000 a year. Policy-makers, players, physicians, and consumers are increasingly concerned about the rising price for cancer therapies and are questioning the link between sky-high prices and the relative value some of these new medications provide.
