Genomics-based longevity company Human Longevity, Inc. (HLI) has announced that William A. Roper, Jr. will become the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. This follows his previous position as interim CFO of the company.

Genomics-based longevity company Human Longevity, Inc. (HLI) has announced that William A. Roper, Jr. will become the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. This follows his previous position as interim CFO of the company.
According to HLI’s press release:

Roper has significant leadership experience in operational and financial management, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic restructurings across a broad spectrum of industries and markets.  He has also served on the boards of several public and private companies, serving as Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Audit, Compensation, and Finance Committees.
Roper has held a number of executive positions throughout his career, such as 17 years as Executive Vice President of SAIC, Inc., a diversified science and technology services organization, whose annual revenues grew from less than $1 Billion to nearly $9 Billionduring his seventeen years with the company.
He also served as President and CEO of Verisign, Inc., the leading global provider of internet infrastructure and security services and a member of the NASDAQ 100, where he was responsible for restructuring and repositioning the company.
[…] Roper holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Mississippi and graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He also completed the Financial Management Program at Stanford University.
