Cannabix Takes Key Step Forward in Breathalyzer Development
Cannabix Technologies Inc. (CSE:BLO,OTC Pink:BLOZF) announced that it has received device renderings from KLN Klein Product Development Inc., its engineering contractor.
Cannabix Technologies Inc. (CSE:BLO,OTC Pink:BLOZF) announced that it has received device renderings from KLN Klein Product Development Inc., its engineering contractor. That’s a big step forward in the development of the company’s Cannabix Breathalyzer device.
As quoted in the press release:
The company also reports that the Licensor of the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer System has signed a collaboration agreement with Field Forensics Inc. to develop a roadside test kit for use with its Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer.
Field Forensics Inc. (‘FFI’), a leading developer and manufacturer of forensics sampling and identification devices for law enforcement, homeland security, and military customers worldwide, has begun development of a potential test kit that would be used in combination with Cannabix’s breath testing technology to determine the presence of THC (the psychoactive component of marijuana that causes impairment) at the roadside by law enforcement and in the workplace. FFI produces a host of products including explosives detection, drug detection, and field and laboratory chemical sampling devices in addition to research and development services for defense, security, and law enforcement, and training services in homeland security applications.
Kal Malhi, president of Cannabix Technologies, commented:
Field Forensics is a high growth, awarding winning, innovative company. Our collaboration is a positive development for Cannabix. FFI’s experience and tremendous network in law enforcement, government and private sector bodes well for Cannabix. Our prototype development is progressing well as we have recently received device renderings from KLN Klein Product Development. The renderings are impressive and our team is pushing along development of our marijuana breathalyzer at a good pace.
