Valens GroWorks Hosts Cannabis Investment-Savvy Bruce Campbell on Bi-Weekly Podcast

In the fifth episode of their EXTRACTED podcast, presented in partnership with Leafly, Valens GroWorks Corp (CSE:VGW) hosted Bruce Campbell to discuss investing in the cannabis market.

Campbell is a Founder and Portfolio Manager at StoneCastle Investment Management and the Chief Investment Officer of Cannabis Growth Opportunity Corporation (CGOC). During the podcast, he addressed the opportunities in the cannabis market, suggesting that it might be one of the most important markets in the next ten years. He also indicated that the transition from the black market to legalized frameworks has happened much faster than he could have anticipated.

He also addressed valuations and how hard it can be to interpret the fluctuating company valuations we have seen recently. He suggested that the main reason behind this is that there is no standardized approach to accounting and reporting for cannabis companies. What he and his company do when assessing a potential investment in the space is analyze the measurable aspects like what’s being produced, how much is being produced, cost of production, sales, cost of sales and selling price.

Across the remainder of the interview, Campbell also addressed how to separate the high-performers from the chaff, discussed what the next wave could be in the industry and provided advice for potential investors.
