Cameco Announces $500 Million Debenture Offering by Private Placement

Cameco (TSX: CCO; NYSE: CCJ) announced today that it has priced a private placement of senior unsecured debentures (the "Offering") consisting of $500 million principal amount of 4.94% Senior Unsecured Debentures, Series I maturing on May 24, 2031 (the "Series I Debentures"). The closing of the Offering is expected to take place on May 24, 2024.

Cameco intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering to retire all of its outstanding 4.19% Senior Unsecured Debentures, Series G at or prior to the maturity date of June 24, 2024 (the "Series G Debentures").

The Series I Debentures will be direct, unsecured obligations of Cameco and will rank equally and rateably with all other unsecured and unsubordinated indebtedness of Cameco. The Series I Debentures are being offered on a private placement basis in Canada in reliance upon exemptions from the prospectus requirements under applicable securities legislation. The Series I Debentures are being offered on an agency basis by a syndicate of agents led by TD Securities Inc., RBC Capital Markets and Scotiabank.

The Series I Debentures have not been and will not be qualified for sale to the public under applicable securities laws in Canada and, accordingly, any offer and sale of the Series I Debentures in Canada will be made on a basis which is exempt from the prospectus requirements of such securities laws. Cameco and Energoatom Agree on Commercial Terms to Supply Ukraine's Full Natural UF6 Needs through 2035

SE NNEGC Energoatom (Energoatom), Ukraine's state-owned nuclear energy utility, and Cameco Corporation (Cameco) (TSX: CCO; NYSE: CCJ), one of the largest global producers of uranium fuel based in Canada, have reached agreement on commercial terms for a major supply contract for Cameco to provide sufficient volumes of natural uranium hexafluoride, or UF 6 (consisting of uranium and conversion services), to meet Ukraine's full nuclear fuel needs through 2035. Key commercial terms, such as pricing mechanism, volume and tenor, have been agreed to, but the contract is subject to finalization, which is anticipated in the first quarter of 2023.

Laramide Increases Uranium Resource at Westmoreland Project

Toronto-based Laramide Resources (ASX:LAM,TSX:LAM,OTCQX:LMRXF) announced an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) for its Westmoreland uranium project in Queensland, Australia.

In the February 28 release, the Australia and US-focused uranium company said that the updated estimate demonstrates 34 percent and 11 percent increases in its indicated and inferred resource categories, respectively.

The total indicated resource is 48.1 million pounds of uranium oxide (U3O8) at an average grade of 770 parts per million (ppm), accounting for 70 percent of the total resource.
