Over the last decade, bitcoin has emerged into one of the hottest commodities–particularly since the start of 2017–and seems to be making new records on a weekly basis.
Just this week, for example, on Tuesday (August 29), the price of bitcoin settled in on an all-time high above $4,700 and soaring nearly 70 percent during the month of August, CNBC reported.
At the start of the year, bitcoin was priced just under the $1,000 mark, and has since more than quadrupled in value. With the year the digital currency is having, Bitcoin Play compiled an infographic of bitcoin that provides an overview of its last 10 years and facts every bitcoin investor should know.
