CloudPassage Appoints David Appelbaum as Chief Marketing Officer

CloudPassage today announced that marketing veteran David Appelbaum joins the company as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) reporting directly to Robert Thomas, Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Appelbaum brings more than 20 years of proven software-marketing leadership to CloudPassage, where he will lead the marketing group in developing and delivering innovative communications and promotional programs that support the company’s overall strategic direction.
“David brings us an impressive record of highly successful and award-winning marketing campaigns from some of the most influential software companies in the world,” said Robert Thomas, CEO of CloudPassage. “His strengths in strategic, creative and integrated marketing along with his proven ability to rapidly scale demand for companies like Oracle and BigFix will be a tremendous asset to elevating the CloudPassage brand as we continue our fast-paced growth in the exponentially expanding cybersecurity market.”
Prior to joining CloudPassage, Appelbaum served as vice president of marketing for mobile application intelligence software company Apteligent (formerly Crittercism), where he led marketing turn-around efforts and all aspects of re-branding for the company. Earlier in his career, Appelbaum held senior marketing positions at Oracle, Autonomy, BigFix and Moka 5 among others.

As a member of the Executive Staff, Appelbaum will participate in corporate and business strategy discussions and translate market feedback, business intelligence, and creative visioning into products that accelerate CloudPassage’s growth.
