join.me Brings Team Video to Mobile, Starting with iOS

BOSTON, May 10, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — LogMeIn’s (NASDAQ:LOGM) popular online meeting and collaboration tool, join.me, has introduced a fresh take on getting virtual face time with your team, customers and partners in crime. Starting today, anyone with an iPhone, iPad or iPad Pro can enjoy join.me’s signature instant, fun and simple video meetings – for free. 

The new mobile video is included as part of the join.me app for iOS and replicates the video conferencing bubbles featured in join.me’s web and desktop experience. On iOS, users can move and bounce the bubbles around the screen, even collapse into the corner to maximize screen space. The video bubbles include controls that allow the user to mute themselves, start a chat, and more. Presenters can pass the presenter role to someone else, or, when required, kick out any less-than-well-behaved or otherwise unwanted attendees. 

join.me brings the benefits and ease of one-to-one mobile video chat to teams with multiple video streams for all users. The join.me FREE product provides five video streams per meeting, plus free VoIP calling. join.me PRO and BUSINESS users get 10 video streams per meeting, as well as other features like unlimited audio calling with domestic and international conferencing lines and more.  With the update, users can now share content and collaborate via voice and video from anywhere.

Pricing and availability

Available via the App Store, the new mobile video feature is included in an app update for existing users and the latest version of the join.me app for iOS for new users. The iOS app is free, and works on the following devices (or above) for video: iPhone 5S, iPad mini 2, iPad Air, or 6^th generation iPod touch or above. The join.me app will work without video conferencing on earlier devices including the iPhone 4, iPad mini, iPad 2, 3, & 4.

join.me plans to bring video to the join.me Android app in the near future.
