Silvercorp Releases Production Report: Profits Fall $24.7 Million

Mineweb reported the drop in profits for Canadian miner Silvercorp Metals, caused by low silver prices and a decrease in production.

As quoted in the press release:

Silvercorp, a Vancouver-based company focused on mining in China, reported a net income of $9.5 million, or 4 cents per share, compared with $34.2 million, or 15 cents per share, a year earlier.
