Silver Wheaton Corp Reports Strong Q1 Results, on Track to Meet 2013 Production Guidance
Silver Wheaton Corp. (TSX:SLW, NYSE:SLW) announced their first quarter results, including revenues of $205.8 million.
Silver Wheaton Corp. (TSX:SLW, NYSE:SLW) announced their first quarter results, including revenues of $205.8 million.
As quoted in the press release:
Attributable silver equivalent production of 8.0 million ounces (6.3 million ounces of silver and 32,200 ounces of gold) compared to 6.7 million ounces in Q1 2012, representing an increase of 20%.
Silver equivalent sales of 6.9 million ounces (6.0 million ounces of silver and 16,900 ounces of gold) compared to 6.1 million ounces in Q1 2012, representing an increase of 13%.
Silver Wheaton’s President and CEO, Randy Smallwood, said:
Strong first quarter production of 8.0 million ounces represents a solid start to the year. We remain on track to meet our 2013 forecast of 33.5 million silver equivalent ounces, an increase of 13% over the previous year.
