Investors are awaiting the Wednesday release of minutes from the June US Federal Reserve meeting, which may give clues about the organization’s interest rate plans. Analysts anticipate that the Fed will raise interest rates as early as 2015; that view is supported by a strong US non-farm payrolls report last week.

Federal Reserve policymakers Jeffrey Lacker and Narayana Kocherlakota are both speaking later today, which could give more information to investors.
