This morning, silver was up 1.4 percent, or $0.28, reaching $20.09 an ounce, according to Reuters. Meanwhile, silver futures for June delivery traded at $20.10, an increase of 0.86 percent, or $0.17.

The news outlet attributes the gain to a fall in the dollar and in equity markets. They were driven down by “signs the European Central Bank may not recur to more stimulus” and subdued risk appetite caused by continued tension in Ukraine.
