Silver prices increased today, with futures for December delivery rising $0.58, to $23.07 an ounce, according to MarketWatch. The white metal has not closed above $23 an ounce since September 19.

A new report showing that private employers added 130,000 jobs in October, down from 145,000 in September, is part of what helped boost prices, as per MarketWatch. Investors believe the new data could encourage the US Federal Reserve to continue its economic stimulus program. The Fed is expected to announce future plans for stimulus after its two-day meeting wraps up today.
