Traders are currently awaiting a Wednesday announcement from the Federal Reserve in addition to a new US jobs report, expected Friday.
Prices for the white metal hit a one-month high of $20.60 an ounce last week. Bloomberg reported that silver has fallen 2 percent since the beginning of the year and is the worst performer on the Standard & Poor’s GSCI gauge of 24 commodities.
