Silver futures for December delivery hit $23.515 an ounce on the COMEX in New York, a fall of $0.87, Bloomberg reported. That is near their lowest price since July 5.

Meanwhile, spot silver sank $0.68, to $23.48 an ounce, according to Reuters.
