This morning, silver fell 0.8 percent, or $0.17, to trade at $21.78 an ounce, according to Reuters. The white metal hit its highest price since October 31 in the previous session.

Recently, disappointing data from the US and China has driven investors toward precious metals as a safe haven. However, many are awaiting the release of further US data later today to determine whether those metals are still the most appealing option, said Reuters.
