Mining Weekly reported Aquarius Platinum (ASX:AQP,LSE:AQP,JSE:AQP) resumed production at Kroondal’s Kwezi shaft after an attack left three dead and 20 injured.
As quoted in the market news:
Aquarius said on Thursday that the situation had calmed at the Kwezi shaft near to Rustenburg, following police the intervention.
On Wednesday, about 200 people, some of whom were armed, forced their way onto the mine property. They were understood to be former employees of the mine’s mining contractor, who were dismissed following illegal strike action in June.
