The market news is quoted as saying,
Silver for September delivery dropped 1.8 percent to $35.885 an ounce in New York. Palladium for September delivery slipped 1.2 percent to $769.85 an ounce. Platinum for October delivery was little changed at $1,731.20 an ounce.
