Platts reports that the global platinum market is expected to end this year in deficit analysts with UK investment bank Barclays said Tuesday.

The market news is quoted as saying,

Barclays analysts believe total platinum supplies will rise by 384,000 oz in 2011, in contrast to GFMS, which expects supplies to rise by 500,000 oz.
