Romarco Minerals Inc. (TSX:R) announced that Haile Gold Mine Inc., its subsidiary, has entered into a tolling agreement with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) and the Sierra Club.
As quoted in the press release:
This tolling agreement has the effect of extending the time for filing of an appeal to the South Carolina Mining Counsel for Sierra Club only. This tolling agreement expires at close of business on January 9, 2015.
This agreement was reached due to the holiday season in order to allow Haile and the Sierra Club to determine whether the Sierra Club’s claims can be resolved without further appeals. SCDHEC has agreed to allow Haile and Sierra Club time to conduct discussions.
