Orezone Gold Corporation (TSX:ORE) CEO Ron Little spoke to the Investing News Network at the 2015 PDAC conference in Toronto about the Bomboré Gold Project in Burkina Faso, West Africa: “we are currently finishing a feasibility, it should be wrapped up by the end of March, [sic] file the document in April, and spend the rest of this year trying to finance and building the project.”
The Bomboré Gold Project is a large, multiphase gold deposit, located just 85 km east of the capital city, Ouagadougou. Bomboré has exceptional infrastructure including being adjacent to a paved national highway, access to a high-voltage power line, available water and a local labour force. The Bomboré 2013 resource indicates 4.56 Moz in the measured & indicated category, and 0.72 Moz of inferred resources that is amenable to open pit extraction. In January 2015, Orezone Gold signed a royalty purchase agreement with Sandstorm Gold for US$3 million in exchange for a 0.45% net smelter return royalty to Sandstorm.
