Centerra Gold Inc. (TSX:CG) said on Saturday that road access was re-established and power restored to its Kumtor mine in Kyrgyzstan, following an operational suspension last week.
Protesters had cut power to the mine amid violent clashes with police that led the Kyrgyz Government to declare a state of emergency. Centerra said the state of emergency continues. It does not expect the downtime will affect the mine’s forecasted gold output in 2013.
