Goldcorp Evacuates Employees at their Éléonore Project, due to James Bay Area Forest Fire

Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:G, NYSE:GG)  announced that it has been forced to evacuate employees at its  Éléonore Project, due the threat of a forest fire less than 100km away.

As quoted in the press release:

A crew will remain at site to manage and implement preventive emergency measures.Goldcorp is working with local and provincial authorities to safeguard the health and safety of all people in the area.
