Gold up on Middle East Tension, Japan Earthquake

Reuters Africa reported that gold increased following an earthquake in Japan and on concerns about unrest in the Middle East.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Tokyo gold futures on Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) pared losses on safe haven buying after an earthquake of magnitude 8.9 struck Japan.
